Hi there Mr & Mrs Schnuth
I just listened to this episode and wondered if the abrupt ending is intentional (usually you have somekind of goodbye segment).
I live in Singapore, by the way, and I watched Ponyo (subtitled Japanese version) earlier this year. I like it even though its story is quite simple. Good to hear that you enjoyed it too.
I also find Lisa a good, strong character. I thought she could make a guest appearance in Initial D
A thing of interest is that Sousuke calls her “Lisa” in the Japanese dialog; not “mother”.
I think that’s all I have to say. Thanks for another good episode

Denny: Try downloading the file again. I’ve noticed with the first few podcasts that they didn’t always download properly. They often came out as partial downloads, even though they appeared to download normally.
Aaron: It’s interesting to see at least part of what your podcasting setup is like. I’m still working with a headphone mic that runs directly into the computer. Also, I left a review on Podcast Pickle, although nobody really seems to be bothering much with it anymore expect to announce new shows.

Thanks for the Pickle review! I keep thinking I should submit the podcast to more directories, but outside of the iTunes and Zune marketplaces I have a feeling not too many people use them anymore.
For this podcast we moved away from the computer so we can look at each other while recording. We run the mics into our mixer, and then run the mixer into my iRiver. Seems to work out pretty nice as long as we remember to turn off the refrigerator while recording.

Thanks for your tip.
I should have checked the file size before complaining :q

Hey Denny, sorry you’ve been having trouble downloading the podcasts. I got another e-mail today from someone else having the same problem. I’ll bitch at WordPress and see what happens.
I’m glad your enjoying the show!

That’s no problem at all
I just listened to the end part of the podcast and checked the Americanized Ponyo song. Uh… Not sure what to say about that. It looks what American typically do (no offense).
Thanks for the podcast again. It’s good to know that there are other nerds living out there

Hello how’s It going I was wondering if you have looked into submitting it to zune yet. Me and my 3 friends would love to listen but if it isn’t in the Zune marketplace my friends won’t please hook us zune users up.

The podcast has been submitted to the Zune marketplace. Hopefully it’ll be added soon!

Hey guys, I’m glad to hear about the festival at the Mosque. I was wanting to go, but I’m in the process of moving and couldn’t spare the time. I currently live about three miles from the Mosque and just bought a house about a mile down the the road from it. I am now really looking forward to going next year.
I don’t know if you remember Aaron, but you’re the one who hooked me up with my gmail beta account some years back. Thanks again!
Keep up the good work on the new show. It’s quite entertaining!

Hi guys (guy and girl)
I’m having a lot of trouble downloading your podcast. I was able to get the first three episodes but have since had to move to a crappy connection that constantly drops out. It seems that whatever provider you are using doesn’t support resuming of files so I haven’t been able to download the last three episodes even though it keeps on trying.
Don’t know if there’s anything you can do about it though.
August 31, 2009 at 9:46 am
I’m assuming it’s the direct download that you’re having trouble with. If you use iTunes it should resume where it left off. You might also want to try a download manager. Mozilla has one built in. Of course you could still have a problem with partial downloads.
August 31, 2009 at 10:36 am
I have tried both. I use iTunes but it constantly fails and starts again from the beginning. I tried a direct download with a download manager and had the same problem, the server does not support resuming of partial downloads.
Turns out though that the episode #6 that was posted in the WARP feed downloaded fine! Different server??

It seems that some people are having problems downloading the show from my new host. I’m currently looking into a different solution and will hopefully have this cleared up soon. Sorry for all the problems!

i seen Ponyo show up on my moviefone i-phone app. was all like wow i should go see it. its just 20mins away…. waited till after the weekend. poof it was gone.
guess it was a limited showing for the 1st week or so. not that i see it as a must see right now anime. but to see anime in the theatre, to show that people are willing to do that. that would been worth it.
something id want to see way more.. infact screw Ponyo…. the new Evangelion 1.0: You are (not) Alone.. now that id drive an hour, call off work, do almost what ever. if it was that close. hell even an hour away id go. on that note, it is showing this weekend in Dayton on the 11th-13th. 1 showing a day only. o.O strange why set up a movie, if your only going to show it once a day? anyhow the $60+ in gas id spend getting, kinda killed that idea. idk if that be to far for you Aaron, but thought youd auta know.
